Invitation for Shwaas band (India) Concert on 14.01.13 in Phnom Penh, Chenla Theatre
The “Shwaas band” from India
will perform for the Embassy of India, Indian Association and all funs of
Indian music on 14th January 2013 at 19:00 in Chenla theatre (near
Intercontinental hotel) in Phnom Penh.

“Shwaas” is a World Music Band from New Delhi, India . They borrow their name
from an ancient Indian philosophy, means ‘Breath’.
Since the group was formed, in 2007, Shwaas has steadily grown to become
one of the most respected acts on the Indian music scene. Its sound is a blend
of the styles, moods and textures we have taken in from different cultures and
different music systems of the world.
The main style of our presentation, which attracts is the dual of flute, which is,
they can say, the first seen in India and this unique efficiency of group leads the
band. One can see the use of wind instrument fused with different electronic &
western means make the environment colorful, enchanting & amusing.
The band comprises Rajesh Prasanna and Rishab Prasanna, the talented sons
of internationally acclaimed flute and shehnai player, Grammy award
certified, Pt. Rajendra Prasanna.
A rich blend of classical, blues & jazz lends our music a unique texture
bordering between Indian classical and world fusion music.
Shwaas has been performing actively in many music festivals and concerts in
India and abroad including:
• Tour of Africa organized by ICCR.
• International music session in Sweden.
• Delhi International Art festivals
• Spirit of Music festival at Delhi
