Chamraen Youri, 16 years old, is selected to represent Cambodia at 11th World
Short Course Swimming Championship in Istanbul, Turkey in December 2012!
This is his 2nd participation in World Short Course Swim Championships. In last 10th SC Championship in UAE in 2010 when he was 14 years old, he set up two new Cambodian National Records FINA Version for Short Course 25 m swim-pool in distances 50m & 400m freestyle. He was training in 25m short course swimming pool for 3 years in Indonesia with well-known US & Indonesian coaches in 2006-2009 and participated in more than 20 SC international competitions for his club in Jakarta, Medan, Singapore & Bangkok in 2006-2010. During his last performance at DTAC ISB Annual SC Swim Meet in Bangkok in 2010 he won 3 gold, 1 silver medals & 1st place best performance trophy in his age group category & 5 trophies in open category incl. trophy for 1st place in 400 IM distance.
